Officially launched: Breastfeeding-Friendly-Wokplace

Assalamualaikum and great day everyone..

Alhamdulillah, I feel so blessed and glad that finally i've created a blog on breastfeeding friendly workplace (BFW) in Malaysia. Basically this is a continuance of my research on the adequacy of legal rights of breastfeeding employee in Malaysia. 

As a Muslim, the practice of breastfeeding is aforementioned in Al Quran and As Sunnah, therefore I  feel obliged to share the information and little knowledge to spread the noble practice. It is just to make mothers realized that the utmost mission as a mother for her infant from day 1-2 years is breastfeeding them. A lot of healt benefits can be gained by breastfeeding. However , what happened in our society is in a contrary. We really hope that support by breastfeeding peers, society and particularly by employers in the workplaces will increase breastfeeding rates in Malaysia. 

This blog is aimed;

-to create awareness among working mothers that we have the right to negotiate or communicate on our rights to breastfeed at workplace because it is a legal right of every working mother to entitle breastfeeding breaks while working.

-to share information and knowledge on breastfeeding in general

-to promote BFW for the benefits of employer-employee relationship

-to list out the breastfeeding friendly workplace in Malaysia (started from Klang Valley)

-to open more opinions and suggestion from breastfeeding friends to develop BFW

I do hope that this blog will  benefit working mothers who wish to breastfeed at work. Nothing is impossible

if we have knowledge and passion of it. InsyaAllah.
